AIGA CincinnatiThe website for the Cincinnati chapter of AIGA. I co-developed this project while working at HyperQUAKE. The site is comprised of a video section with videos of AIGA events and speakers videos being sorted by date uploaded, a contact form, a volunteer form, the board section showing members of the AIGA Cincinnati board and their current and past roles with the company and biographies. The site was programmed entirely with ActionScript using no library graphics or the timeline in the Flash Authoring environment.

Externalized Data ease up update
Mercedes AMGSite for AMG brand of Mercedes done while working at NY office for Avenue A Razorfish. Site was in German and English and all copy and content was externalized to only maintain one build of the site. My role on the project was co-Flash developer. This site was Macromedia site of the day on 07/17/2005. Highlights of the site include 360 tours of vehicles and interiors, photo gallery style browsing of accessories, engine assembly tour, and events.

Goddess CalidescopeHoliday promotion for Nike Goddess workout accessories and apparel. As each group is selected the photo goes into the center and reacts to the user's mouse movement to simulate a kaleidescope. Each item has rollover information as well.

Nokia N93One of two pieces commissioned to promote new video capture devices released by Nokia. I developed this piece while working at RGA on the Nokia account. Was featured on Nokia.com/usa and showcased the multimedia capabilities of the N93 phone. Both pieces were made from the same code base to allow for reuse by switching assets determined by the xml files.

Triax WatchA section of the Nike Innovations site that promoted Nike's latest products. This piece showcased the Nike Triax running watches with curved LCD screens. Functionality included send to a friend with animated message, current time displayed in curved typographic treatment, and film strip style animation to show 360 view of the watches.

Nike.com GatewayNike.com splash page, the global gateway for all Nike websites. This site serves as a channeling device for the user to what their region and interests are while adding to the experience with the exploratory nature of the interface. All data was externalized allowing for Nike's content management system to link up to update copy urls and images as well as promotions featured on the page.

Shox 4HerA Flash piece created to showcase Shox 4Her technology, a new 5 column Nike Shox system designed specifically for women. The piece had rollover points describing specific advantages of the shoe and allowed the user to see it in full rotation.

Shox NZThis animation piece lived on Nike running showcasing the technology behind the Nike Shox Nz running shoe. The main feature highlighted was the innovative Shox columns. The animation direction was to be quick and punchy and pick up on graphicall elements from the shoe like the rounded supports.

SpiridonThis animation was created for the introduction of the Nike Spiridon shoe on Nike running. the main emphasis of the animation was the shoe's lightweight quality. the animation piece was inspired from the motorcycle sequences in the move movie Tron. Jeep PatriotI developed this engaging site for the Jeep Patriot SUV. The premise of the site is that you are navigating through an adventure story and the choices you make determine the outcome. The site had over 12 different outcomes, and over 30 videos to watch. The goal was to make it through without hitting a dead end. Several scenes were customized for the user. For example characters in the video would speak to the user using the name they input. All data and the logic behind what choices produced what results are XML driven.

Basketball SiteI was a Flash developer for NikeBasketball.com for close to a year. I worked on a variety of features on the site including animations, video browsers, event promotions and more. The video clip featured here is a highlight real which was also shown at the Flash Forward 2003 convention in San Francisco. NikeBasketball.com won gold there.

Epic BackpackAn sub-site created for nikelab.com. the piece promotes the epic Nike backpack by showing footage of paths taken through New York city and the user guesses where the adventurer is. An interactive scavenger hunt of sorts.

Videos as clues to questions
Triax Watch KioskI Designed and built this Flash animation for a kiosk at NikeTown in New York. The Kiosk provided information and usage instructions for a new line of training watches by Nike. The watches allowed you to enter desired splits prior to a race and try to match them during your run. The Flash piece took a user through a simulated marathon scenario and showed how the watch would help you stay on your target time for the race.

Chicago Marathon PromotionSite created to promote Nike's involvement with the 2003 Chicago Marathon. The site featured a contest pitting the South side of Chicago against the North side. Users of the site were able to give points to either side and the winning side received $100,000 in funds to restore parks in that portion of Chicago. Users of the site were able to give points in 3 ways, by answering trivia about the chosen side of Chicago, sending a post e-card to a friend, or by simply hitting the add a point button on the site. Each activity had varying number of points generated.

HGTV Show TemplateTemplate I co-developed for HyperQUAKE's client HGTV Start at Home. The piece served as a template for promoting shows and housed videos, biographies, and show information. All images and data were externalized to allow the client to reuse and maintain the piece after deployment.

Woman's MarathonWebsite promoting the San Francisco Nike 26.2 event. The event was marathon targeted for women and raised millions for various charities. The site hosted information and inspiration for the event. The most interesting section from a development prospective was the inspiration section which featured race bibs that were dragable and clickable and each one told an inspiring story of great woman runners.

HyperQUAKE PortfolioPortfolio site for HyperQUAKE showcasing their past projects. I developed the flash front end as well as designed the SQL database and created the php administration site. The Flash UI incorporated a system for sorting the projects displayed according to what sector they were classified under as well as sorting by date, project name, and client name. The UI also accommodates infinite number of slide shows and videos under each project. The admin tool allowed logged in users to add projects, disable projects, add clients, edit slide shows and videos within projects, and build direct links with specific projects or sorting criteria as get params in the generated URL.

Photo GalleryPhoto gallery I designed and built as a personal project and distributed it to quite a few people as well. All images and associated data is externalized so owners can maintain the gallery. Each category is a XML file with one master file defining all the categories.

Box WidgetA Flash widget which contains a subset of the options available to Box.net users. Box.net is a free online file storage service. The purpose of the widget was for users to post their Box.net files to share and view on other pages such as MySpace pages or blogs.
Functionality included uploading multiple files, downloading files, sharing files in Box.net accounts, playing/viewing mp3, flv, jpgs, pngs, and gifs inline, registering for Box.net accounts, sending files to a friend, and customizing and creating widgets from within the widget itself. Several customized versions were made for popular bands MySpace pages as well for mp3 playing capabilities. The size, color, and title are all customizable by the users.

Video BrowserExercise TV, a client of HyperQUAKE's needed an on line video browser to showcase their video on demand programs. All their data is stored in "The Platform" and was accessible via an XML feed. I designed an built this browser/player which allowed users to browse listings, sort by categories, filter by on air dates, view details of the video / trainer biographies, and watch the streaming FLVs in several different sizes.

Player Posite AnimationFlash animation done for Nike basketball.com. The animations goal was to showcase specific properties of the "Player Posite" basketball shoe. The animation integrated shapes taken from the shoe and used as masks in quick snappy transitions.

Green Planet AdVideo animations that were created for playing in New York City taxicab lcd screens viewable by passengers. The videos promoted a Yahoo website which provided information on a greener NYC. I designed and created the animatinos in After Effects using assets from a correlating print campaign.
